Sound
I have been a professional musician since 1990, with over 200 releases under various names, as lead singer, musician, and producer. The vast majority of my early work (from 1990 to 2005) is deep in the "industrial rock" genre, as Sister Machine Gun, and collaboratively with KMFDM, Die Warzau, Pigface, and others.
In the 21st century, most of my musical output has taken a more laid-back approach, and for the past five years, I have largely been concerned with experimental ambience and kinetics. Tape loops, field recordings, and invented electro-acoustic and software instruments combine; my goal is to create harmonic atmospheres with a sense of place.
An exploration of scarcity, "compass" consists of five tracks of live improvisation of Fender Rhodes and Moog One over Nagra and cassette tape loops and field recordings. Purchase the entire album on Bandcamp, or listen on your favorite streaming service.
Three tracks of ambient atmospheric soundscapes, created with tape loops, field recordings, and guitar pedal extremities. These are single-pass no-overdub "live" recordings. Purchase the entire album on Bandcamp.
